CO2 sensors are vital components for ensuring safety and maintaining optimal conditions in laboratory environments. Proper installation of CO2 sensors is crucial for accurate monitoring and control of oxygen levels. This guide provides step-by-step instructions for installing an CO2 sensor in a room.
Preparation: Before beginning the installation process, gather all the necessary equipment:
CO2 sensor kit
Power Socket
Double-Side Adhesive Tape
Zip Ties
Location Selection: Choose an appropriate location for installing the CO2 sensor. Consider the following factors:
At least 1.5m above the floor surface and at least half a meter away from a wall.
Accessibility for viewing the display and handling the control buttons.
Proximity to potential sources of CO2 or contaminants
Avoidance of direct exposure to extreme temperatures or humidity
Mounting: Use double-sided adhesive tape to apply it to the wall. If the surface doesn't allow it, the equipment has support for application with screws.
AiroSensor X ER 202043 Placement: Please avoid any place where there is a possibility of magnetic fields. AiroSensor X ER (202043) should be mounted according to AiroSensor X ER (202043) Installation Guide.
Cable Connection: Connect the pre-mounted cables (4-20mA External Module+CO2 Unit) to the designated port from the probe as well as to the AiroSensor X ER (202043).
Secure Installation: Once the equipments are properly positioned and connected, secure any loose cables to prevent interference with laboratory operations. Ensure that the cables are firmly in place and do not obstruct any moving parts.
Power On and Testing: After completing the installation, power on the incubator as well as the O2 Sensor, let them stabilIze for 2 hours and monitor the CO2 sensor readings using ViGIE Web Portal to ensure proper functionality.
